Dr. Lindsay Cameron Church and her partner Diane Blahusch will be returning to Granada, Nicaragua again this July 2024 for another surgery teaching trip.

Dr. Lindsay Church is a relief veterinarian who does mostly HQHVSN, surgery, and surgical mentorship. If there is a certification, class or badge to be had, she has it. Some of my favorite Lindsay-abilities are: Wilderness 1st Responder, Climbing instructor, Phlebotomist, Veterinary Acupuncture, Sign language (for chimpanzees), FEMA trained veterinary disaster response, Advanced open water and rescue diver, oiled wildlife response, Worked for Oprah & Barbara Streisand’s vet in Chicago, creates and sells her own pottery, and is learning Spanish & Sanskrit in her spare time.  Lindsay's soulmate on four feet is Zulu Magoo, the most amazing pup from the dump on St. Martin.

Diane Blahusch has over 20 years of various adventures in real estate. She is currently managing a residential real estate appraisal company. Her true passion however is in the canine world. Diane lived in Vieques, Puerto Rico for 3 years, working as a property manager of high-end villas.  It didn't take long for Diane to find all the stray dogs and cats of the little island.  Within mere moments seemingly, Diane was volunteering with an organization focusing on spay and neuter. When Diane & Lindsay met in 2022, the stars all aligned as they say!  Diane now assists in anesthetic recovery from time to time with another organization Lindsay is involved with in Augusta, Maine called Maine Animal Health Alliance.

Both Diane and Lindsay work with AproVet, Nicaragua, as often as they can.  Running their household is an eyeless cat named Homer. Homer is assisted by Zulu Magoo, a former street dog from St. Martin, and Sky Raisin, who was our surgical patient in Nicaragua in June and expertly weaseled her way into the Church-Blahusch household.
